About our Guest Speakers:

Sally Guo – Account Manager, Export Development Canada (EDC)

Sally has been with EDC since 2009 in various functions ranging from underwriting to business development. She works with businesses who have the ambition to go abroad - mitigating risks inherent to international contracts, and finding working capitals to support their growth in foreign markets. She is passionate about the clean technology initiative at EDC, and has closed transactions that enable small businesses to deliver under renewable energy projects. In 2014, she spent four-month with CARE India as a Small Business Advisor to a local women-led social enterprise – providing capacity to train local resources and set up financial management systems. Sally is a local graduate of Sauder School of Business (UBC) and excited to see the BC technology companies go global.

Kris Neely – Partner, Consulting, Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC)

In her current role Kris helps small- and medium-sized Canadian businesses grow, be more productive and more competitive. She has a strong track record of clarifying and executing strategy, as well as increasing sales revenue in both large multinationals and small start-ups. Prior to joining BDC in 2015, Kris spent a decade in the technology industry where she drove revenue growth with public sector clients in the US, Europe and the Caribbean, developed strategic partnerships and contributed to product development. Kris is passionate about enabling sustainable growth for businesses, and is known for her unwavering focus on bringing value to clients.
